What products can I buy with my Home Care Package?
What products can I buy with my Home Care Package?
You can use your Home Care Package (HCP) to buy goods, equipment, and assistive technology (GEAT) to assist with your everyday life.
Depending on your care needs and HCP, you can buy products ranging from eating utensils to mobility aids. These can be used either temporarily or for ongoing support. Some products may be recommended or prescribed by a healthcare professional.
Examples of products covered by HCPs include:
• Specialised eating utensils
• Enteral feeding equipment
• Continence management products
• Mobility aids
• Shower chairs
• Safety equipment
• Assistive technology

You can use your Home Care Package to buy consumables available on Mable Direct, provided they align with your needs.
Simply order the items you need through our platform and save your invoice to make a claim with your provider.

I'm self-managing; how do I use my Home Care Package to buy items?
I'm self-managing; how do I use my Home Care Package to buy items?
To buy items when you are self-managing your Home Care Package:
1. Order your items on Mable Direct
2. Pay for them using your own money
3. Keep the invoice as proof of purchase
4. Upload the invoice to the Home Care Provider platform you are using
5. Once the claim is approved, your Home Care Provider will reimburse you from your package.
Note that the time it takes for a claim to be approved varies from provider to provider but can take up to 2 weeks.

Before buying any items on Mable Direct, let your Care Manager know you want to use Mable Direct for your consumable supplies. That way, they can understand what you want to use your funding for.
To buy items when your provider manages your Home Care Package:
1. Order your items on Mable Direct
2. Pay for them using your own money
3. Keep the invoice as proof of purchase
4. Send the invoice to your Home Care Provider
5. Your Home Care Provider will then claim the purchase from your plan and reimburse you.
Note that the time it takes for a claim to be approved varies from provider to provider but can take up to 2 weeks.

You can use your NDIS funding to buy items on Mable Direct provided you:
• Are a plan-managed or self-managed NDIS participant
• Have a consumables budget in your plan.

I'm self-managed; how do I use my NDIS funding to buy items?
To buy items when you're a self-managed NDIS participant:
1. Order your items on Mable Direct
2. Pay for them using your own money
3. Keep the invoice as proof of purchase
4. Upload the invoice and claim the purchase under your plan's consumables budget.
It will usually only take 2-3 days for the NDIS to reimburse you.
I'm plan-managed; how do I use my NDIS funding to buy items?
I'm plan-managed; how do I use my NDIS funding to buy items?
Before buying any items on Mable Direct, let your Plan Manager know you want to use Mable Direct for your disability-related supplies. That way, they can understand what you want to use your funding for.
To buy items when you're a plan-managed NDIS participant:
1. Order your items on Mable Direct
2. Pay for them using your own money
3. Keep the invoice as proof of purchase
4. Send the invoice to your plan manager
5. Your plan manager will claim the purchase from your plan and reimburse you.
Note that the time it takes for a claim to be approved varies from provider to provider but can take up to one week.

Once it has been placed, it can not be cancelled or changed. However, in most cases, products can be returned after you have received the order.

We offer nationwide shipping within Australia.

We use various delivery services to deliver our products, including Australia Post.

For orders under $149
Delivery costs are calculated at checkout based on the delivery location and the weight of the package.
For orders over $149
Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Canberra qualify for free delivery on orders over $149 (inc. GST).
Areas outside of these cities do not qualify for free delivery. Delivery costs are calculated at checkout based on the delivery location and weight of the package.
How do I qualify for free shipping?

Shipping costs are based on the package weight and delivery location.
You can get an estimated cost of delivery by:
1. Add the items you are considering to your cart
2. As you add items, the shopping cart symbol in the right corner will have a purple circle with the number of items you have added
3. Click on the shopping cart
4. In the menu that opens, click on 'estimate shipping'
5. Select the state the products will be delivered to in the dropdown menu
6. Add your postcode to the section 'Zip/Postal Code'
7. Click 'calculate'
8. The estimated cost of delivery will be displayed.

Order delivery times can vary by location.
We aim to process all orders within one day. Once the order has been processed and handed over to the delivery service, the estimated delivery times are as follows:
NSW, Vic, SA, ACT
For orders placed before midday, the expected delivery is one business day.
QLD, WA, Tas, NT
Expected delivery is 2-7 business days, depending on location.
Please note that specific delivery times can not be guaranteed.

We can not guarantee a specific delivery time. However, deliveries occur Monday - Friday between 9 am and 5 pm (excluding public holidays).

Once you receive notification that your package is out for delivery, please check the delivery service's website for their policy on missed deliveries.
Each delivery service has specific policies regarding signing for packages. Most delivery services will allow you to designate a secure drop-off area, such as a garage.
If drop-off is not possible, the courier will either reattempt delivery or leave the package at the post office for you to collect.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to request a date for delivery.

Your order will include a packing slip detailing the products in the order.
Once you have placed your order, you will receive an email with your tax invoice.
If you have a Mable Direct account, you can find your tax invoice for your most recent and previous orders by logging into your account.

If you are still waiting to receive your package, please check the delivery status on the delivery partner's website.
If the package is still in transit, please wait for further updates from the delivery partner. In some instances, deliveries may take longer due to circumstances outside our control. In these cases, the delivery partner usually updates their website to inform you of delays.
If your tracking status is 'delivered' but you have not received your order, please contact us at mable@pmcdirect.com.au.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email with a tracking number. You can use this number to track your package on the delivery service's website.
Please note that tracking is not live but updates as the package passes through specific scanning points.
